Henry Agard Wallace (October 7, 1888 – November 18, 1965) was an American politician, journalist, and farmer who served as the 11th U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, the 33rd vice president of the United States, and the 10th U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Progressive journalist Josiah William Gitt (1884-1973) published the nationally known progressive newspaper The Gazette and Daily (York, Pa.), from 1918 until his death in 1973.
